The 2026 Juno Awards nominations have been announced, and it's a star-studded affair with Justin Bieber and Tate McRae leading the pack with six nominations each. But here's where it gets interesting: these two pop sensations are up for the same awards, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, with Bieber's 'Swag II' and McRae's 'So Close to What' in the running. And it doesn't stop there! They'll also compete for Single of the Year, with Bieber's 'Daisies' going head-to-head with McRae's 'Sports Car'.
But that's not all. The Weeknd is a close contender with five nominations, including Album of the Year for 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' and Single of the Year for 'Cry For Me'. And newcomer Cameron Whitcomb is making waves with five nominations as well, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for 'Options'.
The awards also introduce a new category, Latin Music Recording of the Year, with Alex Cuba, Lido Pimienta, Andy Rubal, Isabella Lovestory, and Mario Puglia as the inaugural nominees. The Junos will be awarded at a gala on Saturday, March 28, and during a live broadcast hosted by comedian Mae Martin on Sunday, March 29.
So, who will take home the coveted Juno Awards? Will Bieber and McRae reign supreme, or will The Weeknd and Whitcomb make a splash? And what new talent will emerge from the Latin Music category? Stay tuned, as the excitement builds and the controversy unfolds!
