Get ready, fashion lovers! The red carpet is about to get a whole lot more interesting. The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) are set to host a groundbreaking event, and this year, the spotlight isn't just on the awards – it's on the fashion, with the launch of the brand new critique show, 'Fashion X'.
This Friday, the Kampala Serena Hotel will transform into a hub of style and scrutiny. But here's where it gets exciting: 'Fashion X,' premiering on Play It Loud, promises to dissect every outfit, every accessory, and every sartorial choice made by the attendees. Guests are warned: prepare to be "seen, judged, celebrated, and talked about."
This isn't just another awards show; it's a pivotal moment for the Ugandan style scene. 'Fashion X' aims to elevate and critically analyze celebrity style, perfectly timed with the ASFAs' highly anticipated red carpet event. The focus? Attendees' commitment to high fashion and culture.
And this is the part most people miss... The evening, set for Friday, December 19th, will be a spectacular fusion of music and culture. The inaugural NRG Half Time Show, headlined by the acclaimed artist Vinka, will be a major highlight. The event will also feature performances from Elijah Kitaka, Karole Kasita, Tyra Chantey, and Rwanda’s Kevin Kade. Dance routines by Valentino and music curated by top-tier DJs, DJ Vee and DJ Harold, will keep the energy levels high throughout the night.
This event is being hailed as a landmark occasion for African fashion and entertainment. Tickets are available for purchase at quicket.co.ug for 250,000 UGX, and exclusive tables for larger groups are available for 5,000,000 UGX. The organizers have issued a final call to prospective attendees, urging them to "Dress like it matters. Walk like it’s yours. ASFAs is calling."
What do you think? Will 'Fashion X' revolutionize the way we perceive style in Uganda? Do you agree with the organizers' emphasis on high fashion and culture, or do you think there's room for more diverse interpretations of style? Share your thoughts in the comments!
